About the role

We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Chaser Inn. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help run daily kitchen operations, lead the team through service and keep our food to the high standard our guests expect.

This is a hands‑on role in a busy kitchen, with live‑in accommodation available and genuine scope to progress within the company.

Key responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and quality
Supervise and support the kitchen team, fostering a positive environment
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed
Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard
Manage stock levels and order supplies to maintain optimal inventory
Work with front of house to deliver excellent customer service
Support the training and development of junior team members
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen

What we're looking for

Proven supervisory and team management experience in a hospitality kitchen
Strong food production and culinary skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
Previous restaurant or pub kitchen experience
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for delivering high quality food and service
