WHAT AWAITS YOU

• Ensure compliance with ISPS, SSP, SQM, flag state, and national regulations under the supervision of the Ship Security Officer (SSO)
• Manage gangway operations, including access control, visitor documentation, and crew training, ensuring smooth and secure operations
• Operate and maintain security equipment, conduct safety drills, and report malfunctions to the Staff Captain
• Conduct environmental training, maintain related documentation, and oversee pest control measures in line with company standards
• Coordinate with port agents for waste and water management (e.g., garbage, sludge, bilge water)
• Maintain and train crew on Ballast Water and Garbage Management Plans; review voyage plans with environmental considerations
• Train crew in shipboard safety procedures according to the muster list
• Support risk assessments and manage work permit processes efficiently
• Oversee accident reporting and ensure accurate and complete documentation
• Provide effective onboarding, continuous training, and targeted development for crew members

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency and required STCW trainings
• Previous experience as a Watch Officer on board a cruise ship
• Highly self‑motivated, resilient under pressure, and solution-oriented
• Structured, precise, and creative working style with strong implementation skills
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability across all performance areas
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
