The DFG-funded Research Training Group (GRK 2717) “Dynamics of Controlled Atomic and Molecular Systems (DynCAM)” at the University of Freiburg offers 4 PhD positions (m/f/d).

The program comprises a series of complementary experimental and theoretical projects investigating electron and nuclear dynamics in atomic, molecular, and cluster ensembles. Collaborations with UBC provide an international environment with opportunities for extended research stays in Vancouver, Canada.

The currently offered PhD positions are available in the research groups led by Prof. Thoss, Dr. Colla, Dr. Schneider, and Dr. Hartweg—please indicate in your application letter which position you are applying for.

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and team‑oriented candidates eager to learn new methods, passionate about science, and holding a master’s degree or equivalent in physics, chemistry, or related areas.
