Overview

As a 5G RF Network Engineer at RIEDEL Communications, you will define validation strategies and verify system performance for wireless environments. You will run latency, throughput, and coverage tests to ensure targets are met and support mobility and IRAT validation. You’ll craft test methodologies and automation to boost testing efficiency, and back certification and field trials with objective readiness assessments. This role lets you shape how cutting-edge wireless tools integrate into live production environments and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable networks.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Define and maintain validation strategies for wireless features and system capabilities
Verify compliance with system requirements, performance targets, and KPIs
Conduct latency, throughput, scalability, and coverage testing to assess network performance
Validate mobility, handover, and IRAT performance across wireless environments
Develop test methodologies, validation frameworks, and automation approaches
Support certification activities, field trials, and customer acceptance testing
Analyze network performance issues and provide readiness assessments to stakeholders

Zentrale Anforderungen

Master's degree in a technical field
Experience in wireless system testing, network validation, and performance analysis in cellular environments
Strong knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G NR, IoT technologies, and wireless network integration
Understanding of public and private mobile network architectures
Hands-on RF testing, KPI-driven validation, and network performance benchmarking
Knowledge of wireless protocols, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis techniques
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
Fluent English; German or additional languages are a plus
