Account and Relationship Management Executive (m/f/d)

This role reports to the Associate Director of Sales Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will build and maintain effective long‑term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Clinical and Corporate Institutions accounts in the assigned region.
  • Developing sales strategies for prospects and assigned accounts and successfully managing deals through the sales cycle.
  • Maintaining a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives via prospecting and account management.
  • Planning, organizing and implementing sales activities to achieve defined revenue goals.
  • Building and nurturing strong customer relationships and developing new business within the assigned region.
  • Making presentations to new prospects and existing customers in the identified markets.
  • Conducting approximately 180 face‑to‑face on‑site sales calls per year.
  • Planning and implementing promotional work and tracking sales activities on accounts within the region.
  • Quoting prices, preparing proposals and providing information regarding terms and conditions.
  • Participating in regional and national trade shows, conferences and sales meetings.
  • Compiling data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and reporting to management.
  • Entering sales activity, new prospects and all account information into SalesForce.com (CRM system).
  • Preparing and submitting weekly financial reports for the region.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Track record / multiple years field selling experience.
  • Experience with complex Sales/Solution Selling.
  • Applied consultative sales approach combined with presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Publishing/Information industry and / or clinical and corporate market experience.
  • Knowledge of Ovid products and services welcomed.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Internet/WWW, CRM Applications, SalesForce.
  • Fluent spoken/written English and German.
  • Excellent communication (reading, writing, speaking and listening) skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments within Health Research.
  • Interacts with marketing, sales support, technical support, customer success, product strategy and the Associate Director of Sales.
  • Intrinsically self‑motivated, quick learner, disciplined time management and result‑driven.
  • Highly organized and capable of working in a structured manner, effectively managing tasks and priorities to ensure efficient workflow.
