Account Executive (UK/EU) – German Speaking (w, m, d)

ATG (Auction Technology Group) is a global digital marketplace and SaaS business operating across specialised verticals for the auctioneering industry, including Art & Antiques, Classic Cars, Industrial & Commercial, and Consumer Retail Returns. With teams across the UK, EU and US, our mission is to lead the digital transformation of the auctioneering industry through technology and commercial expertise.

We are seeking an English and German speaking driven, commercially minded and ambitious individual to join the UK & EU New Business team for all UK/EU marketplaces as an Account Executive. In this role you will be responsible for engaging and converting new auction houses onto ATG’s platforms.

Working closely with the A&A leadership team, you will focus on originating new accounts and expanding ATG’s marketplace presence by selling auctioneers the ability to run auctions across the-saleroom.com , Lot-tissimo, Bidspotter, Ibidder and Pamono for both live and timed auctions.

As an Account Executive at ATG, you will play a key role in driving marketplace growth by building a strong pipeline of prospective clients and converting opportunities into long-term platform partnerships. You will act as a consultative sales partner, helping auctioneers understand how ATG’s technology, audience reach and marketing capabilities can help them expand their buyer base and maximise auction performance.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in German & English languages (must have) and be comfortable engaging with business owners and senior decision-makers, presenting compelling value propositions, and closing commercial agreements within a fast-paced technology or marketplace environment.

We are looking for a candidate to be based in either the UK or in Berlin.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and originate new auction houses to join ATG marketplaces.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across the UK & EU.
• Sell the ability for auctioneers to run live and timed auctions across our marketplaces but particularly our German based platforms, Lot-tissimo & Pamono.
• Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, events and industry networking to generate new opportunities.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations that clearly communicate ATG’s value proposition.
• Structure and negotiate commercial agreements that deliver value for both the client and ATG.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and sales activity tracking within CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce).
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Client Success, Marketing and Product teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client success.

Requirements

• Fluent in German & English language (required), to sell into the European market.
• Fluent in French (desirable)
• Proven experience in a new business, sales or business development role.
• Strong prospecting and lead generation skills with the ability to build and manage a healthy pipeline.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing commercial deals.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to structure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Experience working within a technology, SaaS, ecommerce or marketplace environment is advantageous.
• Ability to build relationships quickly with auctioneers and senior stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Comfortable using CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) to manage pipeline and performance.
• Self-motivated, proactive and resilient with a strong drive to win new business.
• Passion for technology and the auction industry, with an interest in helping clients grow through digital marketplaces.

This role will be recruited by our Berlin entity PAMONO GmbH, and will also be based in our Berlin office.
