ACT Associate (from 2 years PQE onwards ) - Brussels

In this role, you join Freshfields’ market-leading ACT practice in Brussels to advise on competition, regulatory and trade matters, including cross-border mandates. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, client-focused solutions and contribute to business development and knowledge management. The role combines high-level client work with mentoring junior lawyers in a truly international, collegial environment. A relocation to Brussels is expected, enabling you to integrate into the local and global team.

• Advise clients on competition law and related commercial issues
• Draft/negotiate transaction and other contracts
• Prepare submissions to authorities and courts
• Manage transactions and client relationships
• Engage in business development and client events
• Train and supervise trainees/junior lawyers

• Top-class academic qualifications; English fluency; French is a plus
• Experience or strong interest in competition and trade law
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Team player, motivated, solution-oriented
• Ability to handle a high workload and assume responsibility
