AI Quality Evaluator – German (12-month Contract)

This 12‑month, full‑time engagement focuses on Germany. The role is remote‑friendly, with collaboration across Canva’s teams.

Responsibilities

• Label, annotate, and evaluate photos, graphics, videos, stickers and designs in German—assessing linguistic quality, accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
• Evaluate AI‑generated content against Canva’s quality bar for German users and help shape AI experiences in the language.
• Build and contribute to German‑specific datasets to support internationalisation of Canva AI features.
• Deliver labelled assets on time, meeting output targets for various tasks and guidelines.
• Review and refine labels based on feedback to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with in‑house Data Labelling teams in the Philippines and EU for quality alignment.

Qualifications

• Native German speaker with strong written and spoken English.
• Attentive to detail, delivering high quality even on repetitive tasks.
• Self‑directed, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects independently.
• Adaptable, able to learn new guidelines quickly and apply them consistently.
• Curious about AI and enthusiastic about building language experiences for German users.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with evolving work.

Canva’s Localisation team, part of the International Supergroup, brings products and AI experiences to users worldwide. It partners with AI Research and AI Platform teams to deliver in‑language AI evaluations, dataset creation and quality assurance.
