AI Research Engineer - Computer Vision

In this role you will develop computer vision capabilities to support decision-making in a high-stakes defence context. You will work within a computer vision team to build recognition and tracking models, video understanding, and scene matching, while adapting methods to target hardware constraints. You’ll design experiments, benchmark performance, and collaborate across teams to deploy AI solutions in production. • Develop computer vision models and pipelines leveraging state-of-the-art methods
• Extend architectures to real-world hardware constraints for downstream AI tasks
• Design experiments and benchmarks to evaluate model performance
• Collaborate with multiple teams to drive impactful projects
• Contribute to production deployment including testing, QA, monitoring

• MSc in computer science, machine learning, robotics or related field
• Excellent communication skills for reporting research findings
• Experience reimplementing/extending state-of-the-art deep learning papers
• Solid software engineering skills in Python and/or Rust, Java, or modern C++
• Experience deploying AI software to production with testing, QA, and monitoring
