Aircraft Painters (entry-level with experience) – EU

In general, the Aviation Painter is responsible for the direct hands‑on labour necessary to complete the aircraft painting process to company and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and processes, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Cleaning and preparing operational areas of the site for aircraft painting activities.
  • Staging the aircraft prior to the commencement of the painting process.
  • Masking activities to protect the “not‑to‑paint” areas of the aircraft.
  • Pre‑paint preparation of the “to‑paint” areas, including cleaning, paint removal, sanding, and abrading as required.
  • Positioning stencils and other production aids to facilitate painting according to customer specifications.
  • Mixing paints.
  • Painting with electrostatic and HVLP equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting aircraft paint drawings and following them accurately to accomplish the paint job, ensuring regulatory and customer placards are correct.
  • Reading instructions and cautions/warnings/notes to ensure safe completion of assigned work.
  • Installing mandatory and technical markings by paint or sticker decals as required.
  • Ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of spray guns and other painting equipment.
  • Performing additional and secondary duties supporting painting activities, such as cleaning technical areas and organizing production materials, as assigned.
  • Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is a must.
  • Good work ethic: Be a team player, motivated, committed to instructions, punctual, and a true representation of the brand.
  • Self‑starter: Strong desire to learn and develop career.
  • Safety mindset: Adherence to safety rules for handling paints and chemicals.
  • Rotating shifts: Willingness to work rotating shifts.
  • Physical strength and stamina: Ability to work on feet for hours, reach high spots, and lift supplies.
  • True quality mindset: Patience to apply multiple coats, work on detailed designs, and wait for drying.
  • Language skills: Basic English or German.
  • Communication style: Friendly, polite, collaborative, and effective in sharing information.

Qualifications

  • Good starting net rates.
  • 200+ hours per month.
