About the Role

Airtel is hiring Android Developers with 0–5 years of experience to build high-performance, scalable mobile applications. This role is ideal for freshers as well as experienced developers who are passionate about Android development and modern mobile architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize Android applications using Java & Kotlin
• Implement architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVP, MVI, MVC
• Integrate and manage third-party libraries & APIs (RxJava, Retrofit, Dagger, Glide)
• Optimize app performance including battery usage, memory, threading, and background processing
• Work with Android components such as Services, Intents, Broadcast Receivers, Handlers
• Build modular, scalable applications using Git version control
• Perform UI testing and unit testing to ensure smooth app performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 0–5 years in Android application development
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin
• Good understanding of Android core components (Activities, Services, Intents)
• Experience with Android Architecture Components
• Knowledge of background processing, push notifications, and remote config
• Hands‑on experience with Git for source control

Bonus Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines
• Multi-threading and performance optimization
• Familiarity with Location APIs
• Exposure to advanced Android testing frameworks
