Application consultant electro-optical (transceiver) test - Center Of Expertise (m/f/d)

In this role you support customers and account teams across regions to implement cost-efficient test solutions for electro-optical devices on the V93000 ATE platform. You will design and validate test methodologies for silicon photonics components and transceivers, collaborating with R&D and Product Definition to optimize test solutions. You will contribute to pre-sales activities, enable knowledge transfer, and help roll out new V93000 test capabilities to a global customer base. The role combines hands-on testing with cross-functional collaboration in a fast-evolving silicon photonics landscape.

• Support customers and account teams across regions to implement cost-efficient test solutions for electro-optical devices on the V93000 ATE platform
• Design and implement test methodologies for optical and electrical characterization of silicon photonics components and ICs
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Definition to define economically optimized test solutions
• Prepare and support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations and benchmark projects
• Roll out new V93000 electro-optical test solutions to customers and share knowledge/best practices
• Stay up-to-date with silicon photonics and optical technologies and deepen domain expertise

• Solid hands-on experience in automated testing of CMOS devices using ATE systems, ideally Advantest V93000
• Strong understanding of semiconductor test flows, test program development, and debugging in production or customer-support environments
• Ability to translate device and customer requirements into practical, cost-effective test solutions
• Good knowledge of high-speed digital and/or RF measurement techniques
• Experience working in cross-functional teams (COE, R&D, Product Definition, Marketing, Sales)

• Clear and structured communication, especially in technical/customer contexts
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Proactive, self-driven and ownership mindset
• Optical/electro-optical measurements interest or experience
• Exposure to relevant test instrumentation (lasers, optical power meters, switches, attenuators, OSA, optical DSOs)
• Familiarity with fiber and connector assemblies, probing and handling equipment
