Application Engineer (m/f/d)

As an Application Engineer, you support composting applications worldwide, enabling sales growth through technical expertise and customer-centric service. You’ll translate environmental regulations into product features and work with cross-functional teams to ensure fitness for use. This role blends sustainability, hands-on problem solving, and global collaboration to strengthen Gore’s position in the composting market. You will be based in Putzbrunn, Germany, with opportunities to travel globally.

• Drive growth of existing products with Field Sales and Product Specialist as the application expert
• Translate environmental regulations into actionable product characteristics
• Respond promptly to customer technical requests in partnership with operations and product teams
• Leverage relationships to match internal capabilities with customer needs
• Verify and validate product fitness for use based on customer application and regulatory requirements
• Analyze competitive alternatives and inform Gore’s product positioning and value proposition

• B.S. Degree in Sustainability or Engineering (Materials Science or Mechanical preferred)
• Minimum 3 years’ field experience in outdoor environments
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence and network with customers and colleagues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and customer support activities
• Ability to create and communicate technical reports
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Ability to travel up to 50% globally
