Application Operations Engineer (f/m/d) Linux & Automation (part-/ full-time)

In this role you ensure reliable operation and high availability of business-critical applications in a regulated European energy market. You will work in a diverse team, contribute to stable operations, and drive automation to improve efficiency and service quality. The position emphasizes on-call collaboration, shift-based operating models, and continuous process improvements. • Operate and support Linux-based, business-critical applications
• Define functional release requirements and perform release testing
• Contribute to stable operations and participate in on-call rotation
• Design, implement and continuously improve automated operational procedures
• Automate operational processes using Ansible and related platforms
• Improve operational effectiveness through automation and proactive problem solving
• Share knowledge and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Linux operating systems knowledge (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Debian)
• DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory)
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and automation platforms
• Experience automating operational processes and system administration tasks across Linux
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain automated deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes
• Experience operating and supporting business-critical applications
• ITIL know-how and DevOps principles
• Database management knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
• Willingness to participate in shift-based operating model and on-call rotation
• Experience in regulated environments (banking, financial services, or energy) is a plus
• Very good language skills in English and German
