Application Scientist Quantum Technologies

As an Application Scientist in Munich, you drive customer success in scaling quantum computing solutions. You engage with customers technically, bridging sales, support, and R&D to align product capabilities with market needs. You will represent the company at trade shows and build a strong network within the quantum community. Your work enables researchers and engineers to advance quantum technology while contributing to business growth in the EMEA region.

• Engage in technical discussions with new customers to grow our quantum computing business
• Ensure application-specific customer success
• Nurture an active network in the quantum computing community
• Represent Zurich Instruments at trade shows and community conferences
• Translate customer requirements to product management and R&D insights

• Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field in quantum computing research
• Hands-on experience with quantum control instrumentation
• Proficiency in programming quantum computing experiments
• Sales or business development experience in academic and/or industrial markets is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; fluency in English
• Understanding of layers in the quantum stack, including HPC connectivity is a plus
