ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER – BERLIN PRENZLAUER BERG

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to take the next step in their career and join the finance team covering Generator Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, Generator Berlin Mitte, and Generator Hamburg. You will support the Financial Controller in ensuring that all accounting processes and procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. The role will be key to financial and operating reporting and an excellent opportunity to add significant value to the business.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

Support the Financial Controller in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts and property reports
Assist with day‑to‑day operations such as credit control and revenue reports
Takes responsibility for the accounts receivable function and purchase procedures
Responsible for the management of electronic employee files and other HR admin duties
Run payroll on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate recording of staff hours, holiday leave, sick leave, and any other allowances
Support the preparation of monthly forecasts with the GM
Support the preparation of benchmarking analysis on key financial revenues and expenditure
Manage and supervise the accounts payable function
Support the Financial Controller on finance projects as required

YOUR ROCK STAR EXPERIENCE

Have an appropriate level of expertise, ideally within the hospitality industry
Have qualifications or extensive experience in accountancy/finance
Highly experienced in analysis and requirement gathering, ideally having operated in an organisation through business change and transformation
Established track record of introducing cost‑saving financial initiatives, new systems, and processes
You speak fluently German
You agree that this is a 100% on‑site position and that no home office option is offered
