Stellenbeschreibung:

Associate Manager, Procurement Consulting

Interpath

Dusseldorf or Munich or Berlin or Vienna

Interpath is an international fast‑growing advisory business with deep expertise across deals, advisory and restructuring. We deliver tangible results for global businesses, their investors and stakeholders when complex problems arise and critical decisions need to be made. Interpath is agile, independent and conflict‑free, and our passion for doing the right thing, every time, sets us apart.

Our diverse teams blend specialist technical knowledge with deep sector experience across our service line specialisms. Since our foundation in 2021, Interpath has grown rapidly and now has a presence across the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, BVI, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Barbados and Hong Kong. By 2030 we aim to be one of the world's leading advisory firms with a truly global footprint.

Interpath entered the German market in January 2025 via the acquisition of the award‑winning consulting firm Kerkhoff. This role offers a rare opportunity to join a highly respected team with a strong reputation and the backing of a fast‑growing private‑equity‑supported business. Our German practice is led by seasoned Managing Directors who specialise in delivering advisory services across restructuring, debt advisory and value creation.

As part of our Value Creation service line, the Procurement Consulting team optimises clients' purchasing strategies, reduces costs and manages supplier relationships, culminating in cost, liquidity and investment optimisation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess current procurement processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and strategic priorities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities by analysing bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost drivers and risks across procurement, logistics, planning and distribution.
  • Implement cost‑effective procurement strategies that ensure compliance and positively impact EBITDA, working capital and operational KPIs.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, contribute to negotiations, manage contracts and benchmark against best practices to support ongoing supplier performance management.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, articulate procurement value to supply‑chain leadership and prepare reports, forecasts and spend analyses to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Support large‑scale change‑management transformation initiatives, including organisational restructuring, acquisition integration and readiness planning for operational disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background, ideally a Master’s or PhD, combined with hands‑on experience in procurement consulting and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to multiple projects and on‑site teams while assuming responsibility for cost control and implementation outcomes.
  • Consulting toolkit including experience in change management, stakeholder alignment and training.
  • Commercial understanding, including the P&L impact of procurement improvements.
  • Good category knowledge and awareness of category‑specific market dynamics, key suppliers, cost drivers and negotiation levers.
  • Familiarity with eProcurement/P2P systems, spend analytics tools and data visualisation.
  • Excellent business development skills, including support for pitch decks and proposal content, as well as upselling and cross‑sell opportunities during delivery.
  • Native or business‑fluent proficiency in German and English (C1) required; additional European languages such as French or Spanish are advantageous.
  • Willingness to work on client sites across Germany, the EU and internationally.

Benefits and Development

Interpath offers a competitive and comprehensive reward package including salaries and a range of core and optional benefits. Employees benefit from a broad range of tailored training programmes, on‑the‑job learning and networking opportunities to develop the skills and experience required to progress on their chosen career paths.

Inclusion

We exist to help clients seize transformational opportunities and navigate their most difficult challenges, drawing on the brightest minds from the broadest range of backgrounds. Inclusion is in our DNA and we celebrate our people as individuals, providing resources and guidance to achieve long‑term career ambitions.

Values

  • Do the right thing – We always make the right decision, not merely what is easy or popular.
  • All hands on deck – Work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with colleagues and clients, physically or virtually, as teamwork drives implementation.
  • Passion drives success – We push the boundaries of what is expected, never settling for the status quo.
  • Embrace different – We welcome diverse cultures and mindsets, believing that people are equal but unique.

Recruitment Note

Interpath does not accept unsolicited resumes from third‑party recruiters. Any employment agency, person or entity that submits an unsolicited resume does so understanding that Interpath reserves the right to hire that applicant at its discretion without any fee owed to the submitting agency.
