Assistant Store Supervisor

Job Description

• Responsible for the operations of the store during his shift, in terms of end-to-end operation: managing staff, ordering, inbound receiving, stocking, pick and pack orders.
• Assists Store supervisor to manage all store operations, including selecting people, scheduling shifts, routine and preventive maintenance.
• Assists Store supervisor for ordering/replenishment: ensures proper stock in stores (no OOS or OVS) and helps assess inventory, issuing orders based on demand planner inputs and physical assessment.
• Supports inventory management by ensuring effective stock control, implementing inventory processes, and conducting store stock takes and cycle counts on the agreed schedule.
• Ensures accurate inbound receiving during shift as per policies & SOP.
• Ensures efficient and accurate picking and packing of customer orders during shift, as per SOP.
• Supports Store supervisor by monitoring fulfillment processes and recommending improvements to increase productivity and profits.
• Assists Store supervisor in implementing actions related to store shrinkage.
• Supervises hygiene, sanitation, security and safety standards, service level standards, ensuring high customer service both internally and externally during shift.
• Discusses all issues/problems with the Store supervisor and proposes solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience in supermarket or restaurant operations.
• Energized by the unknown and eager to learn each day on the job.
• Good communication skills and comfortable using various tools.
• Robust interpersonal and intercultural skills.
• Fluent in English; Arabic highly advantageous.
• Experience ensuring proper stock control and reducing shrinkage.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, security and safety standards.
• Proactive in collaborating with supervisors to identify and resolve store issues.
