About the role
Experienced Procurement professional. Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution. Authorizes purchase orders, approves payments, and responds to client issues to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Execute processes, standards, and operational plans to support Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and/or program execution.
- Approve and qualify vendors to fulfill account needs.
- Respond to client issues or problems and inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Authorize purchase orders and approve payments to ensure the procurement process runs smoothly.
- Analyze and review price proposals, financial reports, and other data to provide input on reasonable prices.
- Prepare and review requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.
- Analyze and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Work with buyers in purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services.
- Assemble price proposals, financial reports, and other data for analysis.
- Support preparation of RFP and bid packages.
- Compile records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories; analyze data and ensure account needs are met.
- Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to resolve shortages and missed or late deliveries.
Requirements
- Execute operational procurement activities in ERP systems (purchase orders, order tracking, invoice verification) for different indirect categories.
- Ensure continuous supply of indirect materials and services for manufacturing and operations.
- Support and maintain catalog-based purchasing solutions.
- Handle day‑to‑day supplier communication related to orders, deliveries, and invoicing.
- Support Category Management with RFQs, sourcing requests, price negotiations, and supplier analyses.
- Contribute to project‑based sourcing activities and contract implementations.
- Act as interface between plants, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Fluent in English.
- Very good German skills; French skills are a plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of operational purchasing processes.
- Exposure to strategic sourcing or category management is an advantage.
- Experience in an international, multi‑site organization preferred.
