Associate Electrical Engineer (Senior Level)

A well-established, international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join its Berlin office. With a strong presence across Europe, the company delivers innovative, sustainable building services solutions and fosters a collaborative, people-focused culture that supports professional growth and technical excellence.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the electrical discipline on complex, multi-disciplinary building projects. You will act as a technical authority, lead project delivery from concept to completion, manage client relationships, and contribute to the strategic development of the team and wider business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design across multiple projects
• Oversee delivery from concept through construction and handover
• Act as technical authority and ensure quality and compliance
• Manage client relationships and act as a senior point of contact
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Review contractor submissions and oversee site implementation
• Manage budgets, resources, and commercial performance
• Mentor and develop engineering team members
• Support business development and strategic growth initiatives

Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in electrical building services (consultancy environment)
• Proven experience leading complex projects in Germany
• Strong client-facing and leadership experience
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and German regulations
• Experience managing teams and project delivery
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, DIALux, and similar
• Fluent professional communication skills in German
• Master’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or similar)
• Experience across sectors such as data centres, commercial, residential, or healthcare
• Involvement in bids or business development activities
