Associate Perfume Analyst (m/f/d)

As an Associate Perfume Analyst at Givaudan in Baierbrunn, you will provide analytical support to creation, development, and S&T units on a 1-year contract starting January 2027. You will run perfume analysis projects, adapt analytical approaches to meet business needs, and collaborate to translate data into actionable recommendations. You’ll conduct routine GC/MS checks, maintain instruments, and ensure a safe, compliant lab environment. Your knowledge of natural and synthetic fragrance ingredients will support reformulation and interpretation. • Plan, prioritize and execute perfume analysis projects to meet deadlines and quality expectations
• Adapt analytical methods to balance response time and precision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals
• Perform daily instrument checks, calibrations, and routine maintenance
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with support teams for repairs
• Apply knowledge of fragrance raw materials to reformulation and interpretation
• Identify opportunities to improve methodologies and implement new approaches
• Maintain compliance with EHS guidelines and ensure a safe lab environment

• Minimum of 3 years of perfume analysis lab experience in a fragrance company using GC-MS-FID
• Experience with chemometric data interpretation for perfume formulation
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field
• Proficiency in common IT applications
• Excellent English (spoken and written); German is a plus
• Knowledge of GLP
