As we continue to drive innovation, we seek a highly skilled professional to join our Quality Engineering team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional products and processes.

What You'll Do

  • Accountable to solve complex technical challenges for drive units and its components impacting internal and external customers by running problem‑solving processes utilizing methodologies such as 8D, Lean Six Sigma and Shainin.
  • Work in cross‑functional teams to implement containment actions, conduct in‑depth root‑cause analysis, and execute corrective and preventive actions as required.
  • Drive Design & Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify risks and define appropriate actions to mitigate these risks with cross‑functional teams.
  • Develop, validate, implement and consistently improve effective quality controls across production lines in coordination with Design, Production, Operations, Controls and Maintenance teams.
  • Design effective experiments using DOE or other methods to support design and production teams in investigating alternatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Achieve and improve internal & external customer satisfaction, reduce nonconformities & scrap, and improve first‑pass yield as well as additional relevant objectives and key results.
  • Support capability analysis to investigate and drive improvements of production and supplier processes to meet defined requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor/Master Degree of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or evidence of exceptional experience in related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electro‑mechanical manufacturing environments and Quality Engineering functions.
  • Fundamental understanding and ability to apply Automotive Core Tools and other relevant methods and tools (8D, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and expertise using 8D, Lean Six Sigma and Shainin methodology; relevant certification is a plus.
  • Understanding and familiarity with Quality Management standards ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Strong background and demonstrated success applying statistical methods to large data sets. Minitab, JMP or other statistical software expertise are preferred.
  • Data mining, databases and scripting experience (e.g., MySQL, Python).
  • Fluency in English and German is a plus.
  • Candidates are expected to uphold and actively promote sustainability principles in their daily work, operating in line with Tesla Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, fostering a culture of continuous environmental improvement.
