Automation Commissioning Engineer – Siemens TIA (Germany)

We are supporting a leading engineering company delivering a greenfield process installation within the chemical industry. They are looking for experienced Commissioning Engineers to support a critical dry testing and start-up phase on-site in Germany.

This is a hands‑on role, ideal for engineers with strong Siemens TIA Portal experience and a background in process‑driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute dry testing / cold commissioning via SCADA/HMI systems
• Validate system functionality step‑by‑step against design specifications
• Perform PLC troubleshooting within Siemens TIA Portal (S7)
• Support software download and sequence testing during commissioning phase
• Work closely with site teams to ensure smooth transition into start‑up
• Identify and resolve issues during system validation

Requirements

• Strong experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal (essential)
• Proven background in commissioning or start‑up environments
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC systems independently on‑site
• Experience within chemical, process, or bulk material handling industries
• Understanding of powder or granule handling systems (highly desirable)
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
• Willingness to work on‑site near Munich (with initial onboarding in Belgium)
