AVP-Ratings (Financial Institutions Group)

In this role you contribute to Moody’s mission of transforming risk understanding through expert credit analysis of European banks. You will work within the Banks rating team to assess financial performance, regulatory drivers, and emerging risks, delivering timely rating recommendations. You’ll engage with issuers, investors, and industry events, while leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and drive efficiency. This is an opportunity to shape credit insights for cross-functional teams and advance innovative risk assessment at scale.

• Lead credit analysis of banks and financial institutions across the EMEA region
• Monitor assigned credits for performance, regulatory changes, and emerging risks
• Prepare and present analytical conclusions for Rating Committees
• Develop understanding of European banking sector dynamics and regulatory frameworks
• Build relationships with issuers, investors, and market participants
• Produce research and thought leadership identifying emerging trends
• Represent Moody’s at industry events to enhance market presence
• Collaborate with Ratings and partner teams to ensure consistent rating outcomes
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and efficiency
• Support junior analysts through coaching and mentorship
• Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture

• Proven credit/risk assessment experience with strong financial analysis
• Understanding of European banks and regulatory environment
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form
• Strong quantitative aptitude and analytical skills
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages beneficial
• Highly organized with multi-tasking ability under tight deadlines
