About the role

Airbus is seeking an AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Software Engineering department within Information Management. This position is based in Hamburg, Germany, and focuses on supporting the Data Exchange department's Infrastructure team. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise API and Integration Platforms that facilitate over 300 APIs and data exchange processes.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support API and data exchange services.
• Collaborate with software engineers to enhance the performance and reliability of existing systems.
• Automate deployment processes and monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role, specifically with AWS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools to ensure system reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience with API management platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
