backend developer for AI tracing data

Langfuse ingests terabytes of AI tracing data per day and provides open-source infrastructure for processing and observing that data. It is part of ClickHouse.

Задачи:

• Own and optimize the ingestion pipeline for throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Design ClickHouse schemas, optimize merge strategies, tune batch inserts, and write and review analytical queries for dashboards and the UI
• Build infrastructure-heavy features, including asynchronous LLM-as-a-Judge processing, large-scale alerting, client-code execution, and batch dataset operations
• Run load tests against production data to validate schema, migration, and query optimizations
• Plan for infrastructure needs as the product scales, including long-running agent observability and real-time evaluation
• Operate Langfuse Cloud across multiple production environments and support deployments from Docker Compose to enterprise-grade Helm charts

Требования:

• Strong backend engineering skills and interest in database internals, query optimization, and distributed systems
• Experience with analytical databases, data pipelines, or high-throughput event processing
• Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript and SQL
• Self-organized, with strong opinions about what to build and how to ship it
• Interested in open-source software and enjoys discussing users’ scaling challenges
• Thrives in a small, accountable team
• A CS or quantitative degree is preferred
