Deployment Engineer, GDC Air Gapped, Google Cloud Public Sector

As a Systems Development Engineer, you deploy GDCag at customer sites and internal references, building expertise in deployment and operations of air-gapped cloud solutions. You troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across networks, storage, servers, OS, and Kubernetes, working with customers and internal teams toward shared goals. You will participate in multi-party deployments and training that require international travel, and contribute to train-the-trainer programs for partners. This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, security, and hands-on delivery, offering meaningful impact in public sector initiatives.

• Deploy GDCag solutions at customer sites and internal reference deployments
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues (Network, Storage, Servers, OS, Kubernetes)
• Interact with customers and internal development teams to achieve shared goals
• Participate in customer, partner, and internal deployments and training requiring international travel
• Contribute to train-the-trainer programs to enable partners to conduct deployments independently
• Develop deep expertise in deploying and operating GDCag solutions

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related technical field
• 3 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, CI/CD, and deploying cloud-based architectures
• Experience with physical/virtual infrastructure, operating systems, or virtualization
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) for automation
• Experience with Linux/Docker/Kubernetes or Windows/Active Directory environments
• Ability to obtain and maintain Level 2 security clearance (SÜ2) under SÜG
