Project description

• Opportunity for a passionate Backend developer with a strong affinity for big data systems.
• Play a key role in a German company’s strategic and innovative backend software development team that develops cloud‑based security solutions protecting companies and users from cyberattacks and data loss.

The Role

• Design cutting‑edge distributed architectures and development for large‑scale cloud‑based systems.
• Think creatively about new technologies, provide new solutions to old problems, or identify new problems/opportunities.
• Help create and/or utilize large‑scale infrastructure across multiple regions and data centers.
• Effectively collaborate with teams locally and remotely at each stage of the development process.
• Write clean, maintainable code using the best engineering practices in the industry (DVCS, design patterns, TDD, peer reviews, continuous integration, automated testing, etc.).

Technologies stack and tools

Programming languages used: Java, Python, Go, Lua, and maybe a bit of C++.

Technologies employed: Kafka, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, various database types, Kibana, Grafana, Ansible, Helm, and many more.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of several programming languages.
• Experience in software development under Linux.
• Proficiency in distributed version control systems.
• Passion for software engineering and writing clean code.
• Enjoy solving complex problems and paying attention to details.

• English B2+.
• German – nice to have.
