We are an international company, parented by MSA, with offices in Berlin, Germany; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Cranberry, USA. Our Berlin team spans over 100 people and 32 nationalities.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable individual to join our agile working environment in Berlin and help eliminate workplace injuries focusing on industrial and fire services. Your code could save lives! The candidate will work with our tech stack on existing and new projects in a cloud/backend capacity using TypeScript, NodeJS, Amazon Web Services, Postgres, Snowflake and testing frameworks such as Cypress & Playwright.

Our Techstack

Our tech stack consists of Angular, NodeJS (both using TypeScript), Postgres running on AWS utilizing managed services like Lambdas, ECR and Kinesis streams. We focus on automation and are continuously seeking to adopt the best technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and implement cloud applications with an emphasis on scalability, flexibility, maintainability and testability.
• Improve and maintain existing processes and tools while introducing new ideas, protocols and products.
• Participate in decision‑making and agile processes working with internal and external teams.
• Contribute to project‑independent efforts that improve the Safety io cloud platform.
• Lead in defining and implementing coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
• Contribute directly to quarterly OKRs with clear milestones and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS products.
• Skills that complement our tech stack.
• Experience in agile projects.
• Understanding of application performance, uptime, and fast root‑cause analysis.
• Scale engineering mindset: ability to write integration and build pipelines to deploy and monitor your code, with a commitment to quality.
• Fluency in English (our office language).
