BESS Commercial Growth Lead – Germany

We're working exclusively with a well-funded international Independent Power Producer (IPP) backed by a leading infrastructure investor, supporting the growth of its German business.

With a significant battery energy storage portfolio already in operation and an ambitious pipeline of future projects, they're looking to hire a commercially minded professional to sit at the interface between the asset owner, optimiser and key commercial partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial strategy, stakeholder management and the operational side of battery assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the commercial interface between the asset owner and third-party optimiser.
• Oversee commercial agreements and ensure contractual obligations are implemented effectively.
• Support and participate in commercial and contract negotiations.
• Develop a strong understanding of route-to-market strategies for battery storage assets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key market participants across Germany and the UK.
• Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within the BESS market.

What We're Looking For

• Fluent German and English.
• Commercial experience within the Battery Energy Storage (BESS) sector.
• Strong understanding of energy markets and route-to-market strategies.
• Experience with commercial contract negotiations and contract management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Previous experience in asset management, business development or commercial management within the renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
