Overview

In this role you will drive the automation-enabled build and deployment pipeline for EUMETSAT’s mission-critical Linux ground-segment systems. You will operate within the Build and Deployment Service Team to industrialise software delivery processes, tooling, and provisioning across multi-mission environments. You’ll work on automated installations, packaging, and deployments, collaborating with developers and vendors to ensure smooth, auditable transitions to routine workflows. The position offers exposure to secure, HA-class infrastructures and a chance to shape standardised delivery across projects.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Perform ticket-based builds, packaging and deployments on Linux systems triggered by the Configuration Review Board and service desk
Maintain and enhance automated installation/provisioning solutions (AutoYaST, Kickstart, Orcharhino, PXE/TFTP) and Ansible-based configuration management
Create/maintain build, packaging and deployment implementations for software releases and patches; sustain a common automation baseline
Support developers and delivery partners on build/versioning strategies and advise on delivery approaches
Assess documentation for formal deliveries and acceptance tests; produce transition documentation for routine builds
Resolve anomaly reports, manage file copy/storage across security domains, and provide user support for tooling

University degree (Master) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience (5+ years)
Strong technical documentation and English communication skills
