Business Analyst Commercial (m/f/d)

Your new job includes

As a Commercial Business Analyst (m/f/d), you will provide transparency into the performance of key operational value drivers and translate this information into clear management insights and recommendations for action. In doing so, you will make a direct contribution to data-driven management and the improvement of operational performance.
In particular, you will

• independently conduct complex KPI and driver analyses, and analyze variances and performance drivers in day-to-day operations
• derive concrete recommendations for action for business units and local management as an operational business partner and analytics sparring partner, provide data-driven advice to business units, management, local units, and relevant stakeholders
• prepare decision-making materials for management by translating complex data into clear reports, ad hoc analyses, benchmarks, and commentary
• further develop dashboards, reports, and analytical processes with a focus on data quality, automation, usability, and AI-supported evaluations
• support cross-functional projects and assume shared responsibility for improving operational management and performance

• A degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, data analytics, or a related field
• Initial relevant professional experience in operational controlling, business analytics, or reporting
• Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as experience with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI), SQL, data modeling, or Databricks—a plus
• A good understanding of operational KPIs in retail and business contexts
• The ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations, and to work with metrics and reports in a structured and solution-oriented manner
• Strong communication and analytics skills to provide tailored advice to business units and management, as well as an interest in modern analytics approaches, automation, and AI-powered solutions
• Fluent German and English
