Business Architect – German Speaker – Insurance

Overview

Senior Business Architect (German Speaking) – Location: Germany (Hybrid). Travel: Up to 50% client travel. Language: Fluent German & English.

We're working with a global leader in insurance technology who is looking for an experienced Senior Business Architect to join their Professional Services team. This is an opportunity to work with some of the world's largest insurers, helping shape business solutions across complex digital transformation programmes. You'll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, guiding solution design, leading business architecture activities and ensuring technology solutions align with business objectives. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed beyond traditional Business Analysis and enjoys influencing solution direction, mentoring others and working closely with both business and technical leadership.

The Role

• Lead business architecture activities across large-scale insurance transformation programmes.
• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and define solution requirements.
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable business solutions.
• Provide leadership and governance across business analysis and requirements activities.
• Review and challenge requirements to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with architects, developers, programme managers and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Identify delivery risks and recommend practical solutions.
• Mentor Business Analysts and contribute to best practices across the wider consulting organisation.
• Support pre-sales activities by helping shape solution approaches for prospective customers.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience within Business Analysis, Business Architecture or Functional Consulting.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise software or digital transformation programmes.
• Insurance industry experience (carrier, consultancy or insurance technology vendor).
• Excellent requirements engineering and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading workshops and engaging with senior business stakeholders.
• A consultative mindset with the ability to influence business decisions.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Fluent German and English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:
• Guidewire
• Insurance core platforms
• Cloud transformation programmes
• Business Architecture frameworks or certifications
• Pre-sales or solution consulting
• Mentoring or leading Business Analysis teams
