The Role
As a Consultant in R&D , you will help pharma bring treatments to patients faster by transforming how they work with Technology, Data, and AI. You will focus on reshaping operating models, driving organizational change, and measuring tangible business value. R&D covers Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Management, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance. You will specialize in one of these practices based on your background and interests, while remaining available to work across the broader R&D portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Lead project workstreams from end-to-end, ensuring high-quality design and delivery of customer solutions.
- Solve complex problems for Life Sciences leaders, leveraging Veeva’s unique data and software insights.
- Mentor and manage Associate Consultants, overseeing their work and professional development within your workstream.
- Drive practice growth by contributing to business development and internal IP creation.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years in Life Sciences Consulting (Business or Management Consulting preferred).
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in biopharma ClinOps, ClinData, Regulatory, Safety, or general R&D strategy.
- Analytical Rigor: A strong mindset for both quantitative and qualitative reasoning.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Not a perfect match yet? If you have 3–5 years of life sciences experience, a recent advanced degree, or a military background, Master Class is your pathway to a consulting career.

- Knowledge of Veeva products.
- Experience delivering SaaS or tech-enabled consulting solutions.
The Process
Our process is designed to be fast, efficient, and respectful. The steps are:
- You submit your resume, a short cover letter or questions, and complete a personality assessment.
- Within 5–10 business days, we notify you via email whether we will proceed.
- The next step is a 45‑minute interview with a practice leader, followed by a job history interview and a case exercise. You have one week to prepare for the case.
- Within one week after the case, we send you an offer or inform you that we will not move forward.

Compensation
- Base pay: $70,000 – $140,000.
- The salary range listed here is provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. Compensation includes variable bonus and/or stock bonus in addition to base salary as appropriate.
