Business Consultant - Manager/Specialist - Financial Services

In this role you help banks and financial institutions prepare for the digital euro transformation. You work in cross-functional, agile settings to design scalable solutions at the intersection of technology, regulation, and strategy. You shape strategies, develop use cases, and contribute to payment architectures with a focus on security, compliance, and resilience. You partner with stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into practical product specifications and drive business outcomes.

• Support the development of strategies and business cases for the digital euro
• Analyze economic, technological, and regulatory frameworks (ECB, CBDCs, KYC, digital wallets)
• Develop use cases, prototypes, and business impact assessments
• Contribute to the conceptual design of payment architectures and blockchain-based applications
• Collaborate with data, technology, policy, and design specialists to deliver integrated solutions
• Apply expertise in the financial services industry, focusing on credit for corporate and retail
• Prepare proposals and support structuring and negotiation of client agreements
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual booking targets as part of business development

• Product or strategy-oriented background with FS experience
• Strong FS product management experience (payments, digital identity, or retail/wholesale banking)
• Experience defining roadmaps with focus on security, compliance, and resilience
• Knowledge of CBDCs, digital wallets, and ISO 20022 (direct CBDC is a plus)
• Familiarity with GDPR, PSD2, eIDAS, AML/KYC; ability to translate into product specs
• Proven stakeholder engagement across banks, PSPs, fintechs, regulators
• Experience in complex payment systems or large-scale financial infrastructure projects
• Experience as a functional SME supporting development teams
• Experience in agile environments (SAFe) and PI cycles
• Experience managing backlogs with DoR and DoD, and defining end-to-end process flows
• Proficiency in German and English
