The role

To support the next stage of Ideals VDR growth in Germany, we are looking for a Business Development Associate / Account Executive (hunting role) based in Berlin . Joining our DACH Field Sales team alongside your teammates in Munich and Frankfurt, you will proactively prospect outbound opportunities, acquiring new customers with the ultimate goal of closing deals.

As a front-line, quota-carrying team member, you will actively reach out to 30-40 new customers monthly, overseeing a pipeline with 50+ opportunities. Engaging proactively with key account decision-makers across Finance, Banking, and other sectors, you will contribute directly to our growth story in Germany.

Compensation package: 50% base salary; 50% performance-based variable.

What you will do

Own the full sales cycle in Germany, from self-generated pipeline to closed deals

Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition

Create and develop new opportunities through cold outreach, networking, events, and in-person meetings

Build relationships with decision-makers across financial institutions, advisory firms, and other strategic German accounts

Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers

Take part in arranging M&A Community events, enhancing Ideals visibility

Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams

Collaborate with Customer Success and Inside Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company’s revenue

What you bring

1.5+ years of demonstrable success in direct sales or business development within B2B or professional services sector

Experience in high-velocity sales environments and effectively engaging with decision-makers

Clear evidence of hunter mentality

A track record of successfully managing pipelines and closing high-value deals

Exceptional business communication skills to structure persuasive pitches and navigate client discovery

Full professional proficiency in English (C1) and native-level fluency in German

Based in Berlin or within a realistic commuting distance for in-person client meetings

Nice to have

Background in SaaS, fintech, financial services, information security, or other high-trust B2B industries

Exposure to selling into financial or advisory environments
