Business Development Professional - Machinery & Automation (all genders)

Position Overview

Support the growth and development of the Machinery & Automation business across Europe, developing customer‑specific technology solutions and supporting projects from initial discussions through commissioning and after‑sales support. Primarily focused on Germany, France and the Benelux region, work closely with Sales, Technical Marketing, the Machinery departments and external partners to deliver practical, customer‑focused solutions in machinery, automation and robotics. Travel within Europe up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify and advance customer and market opportunities in collaboration with local Sales teams across Europe.
• Act as technical interface between customers, internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring cross‑functional collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Engage in technical customer discussions, proposals, fact‑findings and contract finalization, providing practical technical expertise.
• Coordinate and support machinery and automation projects from order intake through installation, commissioning, handover and after‑sales support to ensure high‑quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation or related field; alternatively a technical vocational qualification with relevant specialization and experience.
• Experience in industrial technology, machinery, automation, technical sales or project management (recent graduates also encouraged).
• Hands‑on, structured and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work closely with customers on site and travel regularly within the assigned region.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and multiple stakeholders.

Languages

English – fluent, German – fluent. French language skills are a strong asset but not required.
