Business Manager (m/f/d), Index Management

In this role you partner with the Head of Index Management to shape the department’s strategy and execution for Solactive’s global index business. You will lead cross-functional projects, develop innovative solutions to rising challenges, and align initiatives with the company’s strategy. You’ll handle market research, governance improvements, and stakeholder coordination to drive transformation. • Act as trusted partner to Head of Index Management on strategic, organizational, and operational topics
• Drive and deliver strategic initiatives from concept to execution
• Independently manage cross-functional projects involving Product, Technology, Data, Sales, Compliance and others
• Coordinate departmental transformation initiatives with company strategy
• Prepare management presentations, analyses, and decision papers for senior leadership
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, governance, and organizational effectiveness
• Monitor strategic objectives and milestones to ensure successful delivery
• Conduct market and industry research to support strategic decisions and identify trends
• Organize workshops and cross-functional working groups with clear ownership and actions
• Own ad hoc strategic topics and drive them to completion

• University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a comparable field
• At least 10 years of professional experience in a relevant environment
• Strong interest in financial markets and index products; exposure to index/benchmarking is a plus
• Proven experience in managing projects and strategic initiatives
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with ability to translate topics into structures and actions
• Excellent communication and social skills for senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• High ownership, proactivity, and curiosity; ability to drive topics independently
• Structured, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
• Very good MS Office skills; experience with project tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Asana) is an advantage
