Buyer for Aachen Site (f/m/d)

In this role, you manage tactical procurement for assigned categories, supporting the line manager and driving P2P activities to ensure timely and accurate material flow for the Aachen site. You will build strong relationships with local stakeholders and the Global Procurement organization, contribute to supplier qualification and compliance efforts, and support continuous improvement across the value chain. The position emphasizes collaboration within an international team and a commitment to securing reliable supply for patients. You will work at the intersection of operations, quality, and compliance to optimize procurement processes and performance.

• Manage tactical procurement activities for assigned categories with line manager support
• Execute P2P tasks: requisition quality checks, PO generation, monitoring, and on-time processing
• Provide user services and training for site-specific topics and system testing with Global Procurement Center
• Support price and payment topics including inspections and vendor onboarding
• Maintain relationships with site and Global Procurement stakeholders
• Support SRM activities: supplier evaluation, audits, risk analysis, and third-party due diligence
• Monitor stock levels of non-production materials and generate reports
• Contribute to vendor creation and maintenance processes
• Collaborate on supplier qualification and administration activities
• Support operational aspects of SRM and compliance processes
• Coordinate with stakeholders on order confirmations and logistics tracking

• Completed vocational training and relevant practical experience in procurement
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM (order types, automation, master data, info records, inventory management)
• Proven track record in supplier qualification and administration
• General understanding of local indirect spend markets
• Fluent German and advanced English

• Experience with Jaggaer and/or EContract or equivalent procurement tools
