As a CAD Engineer at Micron, you will support and advance semiconductor CAD flows and EDA tools used in design, layout, and verification of CMOS ICs. You will act as a technical expert, lead projects, and help integrate ML/AI into CAD flows while enabling end-users through training and documentation. You will collaborate with design and process teams and apply CAD software engineering methods to build robust solutions. - Serve as a subject matter expert within a technical discipline
- Define and lead large projects
- Provide input to team members and managers on technical or innovative areas
- Guide the ML/AI implementation on CAD flows
- Provide training, documentation, and end-user support for new tools and methods
- Collaborate closely with design and process teams
- Develop and apply CAD software engineering methods and research techniques
- Craft and develop CAD software, assess architecture and hardware limitations, and implement CAD software applications
- coursework or experience in EE, CE or CS including VLSI circuit design and software
- Expertise in IC design CAD tools (schematics, layouts, simulation, verification) required
- Exposure to CMOS circuit design and tradeoffs in area, speed, power
- Excellent programming fundamentals
- Experience with SKILL and Python preferred; other languages (C, C++, Visual Basic, Perl, Lisp) considered
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting is helpful
- Experience with RTL2GDS workflow a plus (Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, SpyGlass, etc)
- Experience with EDA software in analog/digital verification flows, parasitic extraction flows, Design DB versioning system
