CAE Engineer

In this CAE Engineer role, you will support the selection, development, and maintenance of CAD tools within the GOS organization to enable accurate design data management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot software issues and ensure data integrity across engineering disciplines. You will drive interface connections between CAD management tools and enterprise systems to support reporting and data collection. This position offers hands-on work with leading CAD platforms in a critical nuclear energy context, with a focus on reliability and quality. • Support CAD Administration Lead in day-to-day tasks
• Assist with Trimble/TEKLA and AutoDesk suite administration
• Plan, schedule and execute assignments within project scope and budget
• Oversee creation/development of 3D models and related data across disciplines (CSA, Electrical, Piping)
• Oversee drawing creation/revision from 3D models and other sources
• Oversee data management tools for CAD data storage and maintenance
• Handle software administration tasks, vendor communication, and license usage reviews
• Collaborate with stakeholders to connect CAD tools with enterprise software for data collection and reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil/Structural Engineering
• Experience with Autodesk, AVEVA, Hexagon-based CAD applications
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Trimble/TEKLA and Autodesk suite (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Vault)
• Ability to troubleshoot software issues
• Understanding of software development techniques and processes
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Broad understanding of a wide range of CAD software applications
