Cash Manager – Germany Domestic & International Cluster

We're looking for an experienced Cash Manager to own cash flow and working capital management for our German and international cluster. In this role, you'll steer liquidity, AR/AP management and treasury operations, and have a direct impact on the company's financial stability. This role is a great fit both for candidates with a classic treasury / cash management background and for experienced Bilanzbuchhalter (certified accountants) or senior/chief accountants looking to take the next step into treasury and cash flow management. What matters most is hands-on experience with payments, AR/AP or liquidity planning — not the exact job title you've held before.

Tasks

• Cash Flow Management; Monitor daily cash positions and forecast short- and long-term cash requirements
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize liquidity and support the business
• Working Capital Optimization
• Analyze and manage working capital components — inventory, AR, AP — to improve the cash conversion cycle
• Partner with cross-functional teams on initiatives that reduce working capital needs
• Accounts Receivable & Payable
• Oversee AR/AP processes to ensure timely collections and payments
• Negotiate payment terms with customers and suppliers to optimize cash flow
• Inventory Management
• Work closely with supply chain and operations to reduce excess stock and improve turnover
• Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare regular reports on cash flow, working capital metrics and financial forecasts for senior management
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Banking & Treasury
• Manage relationships with financial institutions to secure favorable terms
• Own treasury operations, including bank account management and internal controls

Your profile:

• A degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a comparable commercial qualification (e.g. certified Bilanzbuchhalter/in) — relevant experience counts at least as much as the degree itself
• Several years of experience in cash management, treasury, general ledger accounting, or a comparable finance function — ideally, but not necessarily, in an international manufacturing or trading company
• Hands-on experience with AR/AP processes, payment operations, or liquidity planning
• A structured, analytical mindset and comfort with financial modeling and forecasting
• Confident use of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) — treasury tools are a plus, not a requirement
• Good communication skills in both English and German
• Nice to have: experience with SAP S/4HANA, exposure to a shared service environment, or an ongoing/completed Bilanzbuchhalter or Controller qualification.
