Your Role

As Category Director MRO and CapEx (m/f/d) you will be part of our Indirect Spend EAME Team consisting of 25 colleagues. In this role you will lead a team of 9 colleagues. Together with your team you take ownership of ca. 300 million Euro CapEx volume and 140 million Euro MRO spent on a yearly basis. This role will actively contribute to our OneSym transformation in establishing category management, increasing maturity and ramping up internal capabilities.
This requisition is a fulltime position to be located at our global headquarter in Holzminden, Germany.

• Own MRO and CAPEX category strategies, sourcing models, and supplier ecosystems.
• Lead strategic sourcing, negotiations, contracts, and CAPEX project procurement.
• Ensure early procurement involvement in CAPEX planning and investment decisions.
• Deliver savings, TCO improvements, standardization, and value engineering.
• Drive supplier innovation, performance management, and long-term partnership development.
• Provide transparency on CAPEX pipeline, risks, budget impact, and procurement priorities.
• Manage supplier risk, ESG, compliance, governance, and contractual safeguards.
• Support process improvements, digital procurement tools, and execution excellence across PR-to-PO.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, standards, and processes
• Align closely with engineering, operations, finance, project teams, and regional procurement.

Your Profile

• You successfully completed you university degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 8-12 years of procurement experience with strong MRO and CAPEX exposure.
• Strong expertise in sourcing, supplier management, contracts, and project procurement.
• International stakeholder management experience as well as strong leadership experience.
• fluent in German and English. French is a plus
• Results-oriented with strong ownership mindset.
• High level of resilience and problem-solving capability.
• Structured and data-driven approach.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to challenge stakeholders.
