CEO-Ververica

As the helm of Ververica, you will report directly to Alibaba headquarters and take charge of the end-to-end local business:

• Set the Strategy, Chart the Course: Formulate and execute the company's core strategic vision, upgrading Ververica from an outstanding open-source data technology company into a globally successful commercial company in AI era.
• Expand Territories, Drive Profitability: Lead commercial expansion (GTM) in key global markets, especially EU and US markets. Optimize operational and financial models, guide the company through the growth inflection point, and achieve scalable profitability.
• Build the Team, Shape the Culture: Build a world-class executive team. Break down silos and ensure high-efficiency collaboration and goal alignment across R&D, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Deep Synergy, Build Moats: Integrate deeply with Alibaba’s global strategy and collaborate closely with Alibaba Cloud’s streaming computing team to translate our underlying technological advantages into irreplaceable global commercial competitiveness.

Job Requirements

• Exceptional Leadership: 10+ years of executive experience in enterprise software, with comprehensive management (R&D / Product / Sales & Marketing / Finance) of hundreds of person teams. Prior experience as a CEO or Co-founder is highly preferred.
• Open-Source Commercialization Expert: Deep understanding of the cloud computing or big data industry, with a proven track record of successfully commercializing top-tier open-source technologies (Backgrounds from companies like Snowflake, Databricks, Confluent, MongoDB, Elastic, etc. are highly advantageous).
• Global GTM Specialist: Sharp insight into the global enterprise markets for data analytics and AI agents. Proven experience in successfully formulating and executing large-scale SaaS direct sales strategies, with the ability to break through from 0-to-1 or scale from 1-to-10.
• Tech-Savvy Business Leader: 10+ years of R&D or product management experience in Big Data or AI. You should be able to not only understand the cutting-edge technology but also formulate precise commercialization strategies based on global market trends. Prior success in incubating industry-leading products is highly preferred.
