Civil Project Manager

As Civil Project Manager, you own the civil scope of substations, steering scope, cost, time and quality to maximize project value. You will collaborate with tendering, electrical engineering, supply chain and project teams to move from tendering through hand-over to installation and commissioning. You’ll shape civil strategy, ensure cost-aware design, and maintain clear interfaces with clients and site teams. This role offers impact across procurement, construction and commissioning within a growing Linxon Substations EPC context.

• Define civil tendering, engineering and construction strategy with the business unit and involved organizations
• Prepare and administer standard documents for tendering, engineering and execution
• Establish and maintain effective communication procedures with internal and external partners
• Monitor ongoing civil project performance (on-time, quality, cost, claims, OHS)
• Prequalify civil subcontractors and support SCM in identification of new subcontractors
• Coordinate external civil planners and ensure civil design complies with customer and Linxon specs with cost considerations
• Provide early warnings on cost, time and quality issues
• Establish the client’s representative authority with PM/PD and SM and attend client meetings
• Attend site construction meetings and interface with site and engineering teams
• Support quality management with project-specific plans and non-compliance tracking
• Ensure document traceability per the company’s document control system
• Engage staff and consultants as needed to support civil engineering and building services
• Receive comprehensive, binding information relating to department and project matters

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related construction field
• At least 10 years of civil engineering or construction experience
• At least 5 years of plant design experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of German civil construction market and building standards
• Basic substation knowledge
• Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheets; LN/Netware)
• Fluent in German (written and spoken)
• English basic knowledge for communication with Engineering center in India
• Willingness to travel regularly
