About the Cloud Engineer Role: We seek an experienced and forward‑thinking Cloud Engineer to join our fully remote team. Key Responsibilities of a Remote Cloud Engineer

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management Build & Deploy: Lead the development of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure tailored to application needs.
  • Cloud Environment Setup: Set up VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, and DNS configurations to ensure robust architecture.
  • Migration Strategy: Plan and execute cloud migration strategies from legacy systems, minimizing downtime and maximizing performance.
  • Integration: Connect third‑party services, APIs, and hybrid networks into cohesive multi‑cloud systems.

Automation & Optimization

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation to define and automate the infrastructure lifecycle.
  • Performance Optimization: Regularly assess and optimize network performance, compute workloads, and manage costs.
  • Security Frameworks: Apply zero‑trust security, enforce least‑privilege policies, and implement real‑time threat detection tools.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Design monitoring and alerting systems with Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Datadog for uptime assurance.

Collaboration & Support

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, architects, and security experts to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive architectural blueprints and playbooks for repeatable operations.
  • Mentorship: Support junior engineers by guiding them on best practices in cloud development and deployment.

Required Skills and Experience

Technical Competencies

  • Proven track record as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, designing and supporting cloud platforms.
  • Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments with service‑specific experience (e.g., EC2, AKS, BigQuery).
  • Hands‑on experience managing Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers in production environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and operations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
  • Ability to implement, configure, and monitor cloud‑native services for security, logging, and availability.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical mindset to assess and improve existing systems and workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate solutions across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Detail‑oriented and able to manage tasks independently in a remote‑first setting.
