Cloud Operations Engineer (Berlin, DE)

Join APCOA's cloud platform team in Berlin and help scale a pan-European mobility platform used by millions every day. You'll work hands-on with Azure, Terraform, AKS, and Azure DevOps to build and operate the infrastructure behind smart urban mobility solutions.

As part of our platform team, you'll design, run, and continuously improve a modern Azure-native environment that powers digital parking, logistics, and mobility services across 13 European countries.

What you'll do

• Design and provision Azure infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (YAML) including blue-green and canary deployments
• Operate, scale, and optimize AKS clusters running production workloads
• Manage networking, identity, secrets, and configuration in Azure
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support scalable, cloud-native applications

What you bring (must-have)

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments
• Strong experience with Terraform
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles
• Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience running containerized workloads on Kubernetes (AKS preferred)
• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools

Nice to have

• Deeper Kubernetes expertise ( scaling, networking, security )
• Experience with MongoDB in cloud environments
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar automation tools
• Relevant certifications ( Azure / Terraform / DevOps )
