Cloud Platform / DevSecOps Engineer

Role Summary

Project-S is seeking a Cloud Platform / DevSecOps Engineer to build the secure, scalable cloud foundation for our orbital intelligence platform. This role owns infrastructure-as-code, environments, networking, secrets, CI/CD, observability, deployment automation, and operational reliability across AWS or Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud environments for development, staging, and production.
• Build infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Bicep, or equivalent tooling.
• Implement secure networking, IAM, secrets management, encryption, logging, and compliance-ready controls.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for backend services, frontend applications, worker services, and infrastructure.
• Build monitoring dashboards for ingestion success, queue depth, worker latency, API errors, pipeline failures, and system health.
• Support autoscaling compute for propagation, screening, streaming, and high-fidelity simulation workloads.
• Prepare disaster recovery, backup, rollback, and incident-response procedures.

Ideal Profile

• Strong experience with AWS or Azure production environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of containers, queues, serverless or managed compute, databases, object storage, and observability stacks.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate, AKS/EKS, or similar.
• Security‑first mindset with experience in secrets management, access control, encryption, and cloud monitoring.
• Experience in aerospace, fintech, defense, or other reliability‑sensitive environments is a plus.
