quo connect is one of Germany’s leading management consultancies specializing in rail transport. As part of a startup project, we develop and operate cloud-based driving assistance applications for train drivers.

We are looking for

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer (m/f/d) who combines structured software development with cloud and DevOps expertise and enjoys taking on responsibility in a small, technologically sophisticated team.

Your Responsibilities

Software Development & Business Logic

• Further development of our AWS Lambda-based cloud platform
• Development of backend applications and APIs in Java and Python (preferably AI-supported)
• Development and enhancement of frontend and analytics applications (including Dash, QuickSight)
• Integration of mobile applications
• Quality assurance through automated testing and code reviews

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

• Further development of our production environment in AWS
• Operation and optimization of cloud-native services such as AWS Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB
• Monitoring, logging, and error analysis of production systems
• Support for architecture, scaling, and performance optimization
• Further development of our IT security and authorization concepts
• Support for infrastructure management using Infrastructure-as-Code
• Automation of build, deployment, and operational processes (CI/CD)

Optional: Consulting & Customer Projects

• Collaboration on consulting projects in the field of digitalization and IT architectures in rail transport
• Support for technical concepts and customer workshops

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Experience in software development with Java and/or Python
• Interest in cloud technologies, modern software architectures, and DevOps
• Knowledge of AWS or comparable cloud platforms
• Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, or infrastructure automation is a plus
• Structured and self-directed work style
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary tasks in a dynamic environment
• Business-level German proficiency (C1 level)
