Cloud Technical Architect , Manager

In this role you lead a global team of PLM Technical Architects to ensure performance, scalability, governance, and operational excellence of PTC's cloud-hosted Windchill-based PLM solutions. You partner with Service Management, R&D, Cloud Operations, and customers to drive best practices, optimize environments, and provide technical advisory services. You manage people, resource planning, and continuous improvement while supporting strategic customer engagements. You shape scalable PLM architectures and governance in a dynamic cloud context with a strong leadership focus.

• Lead and develop a team of PLM Technical Architects across EMEA; manage performance, career development, and succession planning
• Establish operational goals and metrics; recruit, onboard, and mentor new team members
• Provide technical leadership for Windchill and PLM cloud environments; guide TSAs, health checks, and architectural evaluations
• Review customer architectures, integrations, and deployment strategies; support escalations
• Drive system optimization, scalability, and operational improvements; promote standardization and best practices
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations, Monitoring, Infrastructure, and Applications teams to improve service reliability and drive automation
• Lead root-cause analysis of recurring issues and contribute to service delivery methodologies
• Act as trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders; engage in governance meetings and executive reviews
• Communicate risks, recommendations, and roadmaps to technical and non-technical audiences

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• 8+ years of experience with enterprise PLM solutions
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Strong experience with Windchill or comparable enterprise PLM platforms
• Experience in cloud-hosted environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and systems analysis capabilities
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a global environment
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English; German language skills are advantageous
